Samuel Cheeseman

Director of unnecessary and special projects.

Born Chichester, 1977 — Lives and works in Hayling Island, Hampshire

With over 25 years of experience as a fabricator, machinist, and finisher, Samuel Cheeseman brings a masterful understanding of materials to his ever-evolving art practice. Trained in traditional woodworking and metalwork, Sam now experiments with a wide array of media, combining time-honoured techniques with fresh, contemporary vision.

Each piece is designed and made by hand using classic machinery in inventive, unconventional ways. His work reflects a deep personal exploration of form, texture, and cultural resonance — often blurring the lines between sculpture, design, and social commentary.
